About Appalachian Resource Agency
Our Story
Appalachian Resource Agency is focused on uplifting families and children in need across the Appalachian Mountains. Our mission is grounded in compassion and community support, focusing on three key initiatives:
1. Out Of The Box With Genevieve - Offering hope and encouragement through gift boxes to children from hard places focusing on foster care and adoption.
2. Fighting Food Insecurity - We work tirelessly to combat hunger in our region by offering a mobile food program, distributing meals and groceries, and collaborating with local partners to ensure families can access sustainable food options.
3. Serving The Homeless Community - Providing a safe haven for homeless individuals, offering shelter and necessary resources during cold weather, along with support to help them transition into stable housing, new employment, and career opportunities.
